Humane Colors is a manifestation of selected affecto-cognitive emissions from the Infinite Loop, an eternal improvisational musical entity currently residing on Twitch. Observers of the Infinite Loop guide its evolution via chat suggestions and other ideational impulses, which are interpreted in real-time into an eclectic mix of synthesizer, guitar, and harmonized vocal loops.
The songs on Home at Night, Humane Colors' debut EP, were conceived of, written, and recorded live on stream in the space of 1-3 hours each, in the deep of night, while others slept. All recordings were made directly to a Boss RC-505 Loopstation, and remain unedited beyond basic trimming and EQing, resulting in songs that readily testify to the imperfect touch of human hands, eyes, and voice.
