We booked our first international trip together (a one way ticket to New Zealand) in 2013 after only 5 months of dating, under $2,000 to our collective names, and little to no idea what we were doing.
We made our way through the 2-island country working odd jobs (ie: mussel factory, kiwi picking, hostel managing) and saved enough to continue traveling for the next several months. Here we are 5 years later with 30+ countries, wedding vows, and an actual business under our belts, thanks to those slightly-irresponsible-one-way tickets.
Now, we're booking trips whenever we can, and frequently make our way across the border to Mexico to explore the beaches, jungles, and cities there.
