Relaxing Soundscapes channel is dedicated to producing content that help viewers shed the stress of daily life and relax. I've been a sound editor and sound designer for 30 years. My challenge in creating the soundscapes for this channel is that they need to be relaxing and stress reducing, but still be engaging and enjoyable. How do I achieve this?
First, I use the best microphones and sound editing equipment; Second, I use recordings that are "clean" and "pristine"; Third, I listen to how all the elements make me feel while editing and mixing.
It's important to note that what you are listening to is a stereo mix that is comprised of tens to hundreds of individual sound clips arranged with pitch, rhythm and spatial orientation in mind. Also, it's important to note that relative volumes to each of the elements are dynamically changing. So you get a different experience as you continue to listen.
