Welcome to Homesteading in Idaho!
We are a family of 4 living on 1.5 acres in Southern Idaho where we garden extensively, growing nearly all the fruits and vegetables we need. We also raise small livestock for meat, milk, cheese, eggs, as well as for the wonderful fertilizer they create. Our goal is to raise and grow as much as we can on our small homestead and limit the time and money spent at the store. This means you'll see how we process our animals, preserve our food in various ways like canning, dehydrating, fermenting, and freeze drying.
