Merry (early) christmas everyone!
This year's probably been the best this channel has been performing which is a low bar to set in all honesty with the release of Episode 9. To round this year up, it's best to mention now that I have no christmas special planned again this year unfortunately, as all focus is set on my next video, being the remake of Episode 2 of Sodor's Dark TImes: A frenzy payback. As of now it is not anywhere near complete as I've been fully focused on my full time job and providing for my family. Progress is being made, just at a snail's pace! With all that said, I hope next year we'll see more videos from this channel. Thank you all for tuning in, as we leave this year behind us!

With the premire of episode 9 behind us, there's a couple things I wanna address shortly!
First off, thank you everyone who showed up to the premiere! It really blows my mind that many of you are excited for this installment, and I appreciate all the feedback that I can get!
Secondly, I did plan on doing a live chat after the premiere, but due to unforeseen circumstances it'll have to happen on another day. I'll be travelling with my family next week, so I won't be on the internet that much.
Thirdly, I want to address a bit about the TIME GAP. Yeah, 3 years, I don't blame anyone if they were expecting much more from this episode. I will go into full detail in this upcoming live chat, though just to put things shortly: I haven't actively worked on this episode during these 3 years, it's been in constant on-and-off production, not to mention I took an unannounced hiatus from content creation. Now that I'm back though, does this mean it's full steam ahead? All I can say is that it's uncertain rn, I've mentioned previously that I have a full time job now which is something I want to prioritize. None of my videos are monetised, and the only way you can financially support me is through my patreon. Again, I'll explain it all in the eventual live chat.
Lastly, I just wanna give a shoutout to βͺ@TheGreatNateVAβ¬, βͺ@Nictrain123β¬, Autumnfienetta and anon from my discord server for providing me with some fantastic art to showcase for the credit sequence.

Hi everyone, it's been awhile. What have I been up to? Since my update video was last summer, I think it's time I come with a follow up, but instead of a video I'll be making this as a community post instead because much hasn't changed drastically since then plus that I don't want to give everyone false hope by notifying them of a video upload (lol). I've made an update on twitter, but since not everyone subscribed to this channel has twitter nor let alone following my twitter account, I'll just make it brief here.
It is safe to make the assumption that I have, for the time being, retired from content creation. As much as I found enjoyment in creation, that simply isn't the case anymore. I've not been up to date with a lot that's been happening in the fandom, and not much of it has peaked my interest sadly. A few of my friends that I still have contact with in the fandom can share the same opinion. My ambition as of now is 100% on focusing on living a stable and comfortable life; I've finally gotten a full time job that I enjoy and can live off of (for the record I've mentioned I enrolled in University, but I dropped out earlier this year in favor of the full time job).
*What does that mean for SDT:AFP?*
Obviously, it's still on hiatus, but I definitely haven't abandoned it. I have the series planned out and I know how I want to end it, I've even fully planned out two chronicle episodes that officially wraps up the entire lore, all of which I hope one day to finally finish and share with you all, or at the very least get that ninth episode done.
A huge shoutout to everyone still sticking around this channel, I won't forget that this was and still is a huge part of my secondary school years and life. The next time I return to this channel, I certainly wish it'll be with the premiere of Episode 9.

so yeah, as you can tell, it's been well over a year since I premiered Episode 8. Nothing much to say about my absence because what is there to say that hasn't been said already? Anyways, I thought I'd take the opportunity and let everyone on my YouTube channel know that I've released a lengthly clip and a few exclusive screenshots over at my Twitter and Discord server, incase you don't follow any of those. There's no premiere date, other than that it's an inevitability at this point. Hope you all had a good summer, because I'll be starting uni this week.

The more people keep asking me when episode 9 will be released, the longer it'll take. I don't have the privilege to focus fully on content creation, that is something I've come to accept. All I can say is that episode 9 will be released when it's done, obviously speaking. So there is no point on asking me when it'll be released. I'm sorry for this short rant, and I'm happy to see that there are a few people who understand my situation, but it seems there are quite a few who haven't gotten the message yet, despite the fact that I've been saying this for well over 2 years now.

In retrospect, 2021 was far less productive in comparison with 2020 for this channel. 1 episode of SDT:AFP was all I managed to squeeze out for this year. It's funny, because I mentioned that this year would've been the year of SDT:AFP. Granted, I think I was far too ambitious. Delays after delays for episode 8, and a large depressive swing I had suffered during autumn of this year, and tons of planned projects being cancelled. So yeah, 2021 was very unproductive for this channel.
So what's in it for 2022? As I said in my 'Finality' short, episode 9 WILL be my next big project, and with all the set backs I've endured, I'm aiming for an early 2022 release. And I'm sticking with the video schedule I made in the previous live chat: after episode 9, it's chronicle 2, then episode 10 and 11.
I wish everyone a happy new year, and hopes for a smooth sailing in 2022.
So until then, this is where I get off.
