REL Northeast & Islands is one of 10 Regional Educational Laboratories across the country charged with helping states and districts systematically use data and analysis to answer important issues of education policy and practice with the goal of improving student outcomes. The Regional Educational Laboratory Program is funded by the Institute of Education Sciences at the US Department of Education.
REL Northeast & Islands carries out its work primarily in collaboration with new or existing partnerships, or research alliances of practitioners, policymakers, and others who share a specific education concern. It is led by Education Development Center in partnership with the American Institutes for Research and WestEd.
