Born in England, I attended courses in Art and Art History, and during an eight year stay in France, I was greatly influenced by the works of both the Impressionists and the Masters.
More recently I have taken to painting for myself and following the ebb and flow of my body and of life itself. I have tried many new watercolor techniques and have attempted to paint looser images as opposed to the architectural realistic style painting I have been known for. I have used the art of zentangle and am creating watercolor collage paintings.
I have incorporated maps, sheet music and tissue paper to enhance the watercolor backgrounds, making the collage part of the subject matter and composition. I am having an enormous amount of fun with all of this.
