Everything you need to know about guitar is on the internet; it's the "how" that's missing. Understanding a concept by watching a YouTube video is totally different from applying and internalizing it. Learning is a process and it takes time, but it takes less time with an expert instructor with targeted attention.
It's also more fun to have someone with you who knows the territory, can point out some of the interesting sites along the way, and is excited for your journey. That doesn't mean you should not explore a lot on your own; good teachers encourage you to follow your curiosity!

I’m a little different than other guitar teachers because I teach the fundamentals of music using a clear structure that I tailor to each student’s goals and learning style. Students develop a strong skill set to use in all kinds of musical situations.
I wrote "The Guitar Lesson Companion" method book series to help make it easier to learn the tough stuff on guitar, and today thousands of guitarists use these books, including faculty at Berklee College of Music.
This channel is specifically for my private students enrolled in lessons or small group classes, as well as students and teachers who use my method book series.
