Heya Folks!

Figured I should put out a quick update as it's been some time since I last showed my face around here haha!

First things first it's my sister Reines birthday again today, so feel free to wish her in the comments once more! The responses last year were absolutely sublime and very special :)

Seecondly;

I'm getting along with this chemo recovery business slowly but surely, much more slowly than anticipated as it turns out but I can feel some gradual improvement for sure.

The main issue I still have is immense fatigue, especially when it comes to being out doing things that involve even moderate exertion. Essentially I can manage a couple of hours out and about before I end up totaled and need to come home and rest, often for the entire next day to start feeling alright again.

As you can likely imagine this is pretty frustrating considering the main thing I have any interest in in life is being out and about lugging heavy cameras around and making photographs and videos.

For now though, I'm trying to maneuver around my temporary limitations and gain my strength back so I can head out there again.

This past week has been quite good comparatively since I'm starting to be able to spend some time outside without needing to rest the whole of the next day, but it's a bit of a balancing act since if I push myself just a bit too far I end up totaled again (sigh).

Doctors say I should feel like my old self again by next year January, and until then I've been given a long list of supplements and things to take to try aid my recovery. As I say things are feeling a better now than they have for a while though so hopefully I'll at least be properly out and about before too long.

I'm slowly working on putting a video together (with no real deadline for now since I know I'll end up going too far too fast if I give myself a deadline) and here is an image I made in one of the spots that will pop up in said video.

I made this image and video from that scene almost a month ago now and the plan was to hit the ground running and spend a few days after visiting that spot making images so that I'd have something to share, but 40 minutes carrying the RB around had me needing to rest for 2 days at that point haha!

Slow and steady wins the race!

I haven't disappeared forever and greatly miss sharing things and catching up with all you wonderful folks in the comments, but I'm going to have to take it easy for a little while longer while my body tries to figure out what on earth just happened to it

Heya folks!

I've received some bad news health-wise recently and as a result am going to be trying to take it easy for a little while - shouldn't impact video stuff too heavily just might mean I upload maybe once every two weeks for a bit, and in the case of the video I'm currently working on might mean I only get it finished up sometime mid next week.

I hope everyone has been keeping well though, I'm greatly looking forward to getting the next video out and chatting it up in the comments with everyone! I went on a work trip someplace tropical last week and decided to pick up a polaroid camera to document it. Was my first proper foray into polaroids and it was an adventure for sure haha!

Next video will be from that trip and contain a stack of polaroids and some lovely RB67 images too.

Heya Folks!

We've had intense rolling blackouts/loadshedding this side of the world for the past week and it's massively impeded on my opportunities to edit a video, I work on a PC so when there's no electricity there's no editing lol, as a result there shan't be an upload today unfortunately.

Here's a very close crop of an image from an expedition that will likely be a segment in the next video when time comes to upload it though!

Hope everyone is keeping well, and look forward greatly to showing you some things in the near future!

Immensely exciting news for the film community! Kodak Gold is back in 120!

There were rumors a while back that Gold would return when Kodak hinted that they'd be bringing back an old favorite, but they've announced Golds return on Instagram officially now and there are articles saying it'll be cheaper than Portra and Ektar!

Thoughts on this? I'm excited to have something new to try out, and very glad for what another film stock being revived means for the future of things!

Just unfortunate that it'll likely be quite some time before I get to try it out on my side of the world haha!

(RIP to those who hoped the returning stock would be Aerochrome)

Heya Folks!

As I mentioned in my recent Nikonos video this month is a crazy busy one for me, with big trips planned and jobs popping up - a wonderful thing for sure but the time away from home impacts my ability to put together videos! We've also got scheduled power outages at the moment which doesn't help at all haha

I have two really cool outings I've filmed that just need to be put together when I have time, one of which is an expedition to shoot color large format - the results of which I am very excited to share!

For now here's a crop from a test scan of something else that might pop up in the future :)

I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday and looking forward to sharing a fun adventure with you again soon!

Heya folks, gonna be a delay on Thursdays video once more unfortunately, will hopefully be worth the wait though since it's a video I've been waiting to make for like 6 months haha!

Having a very busy January work-wise and have been on set pretty much non-stop once more, up again at 4am tomorrow for another two full days and then hopefully will be able to finish editing this video asap!

Veery excited to share it with you, probably the best photographs I'll have been able to share on my channel to date, in both story and execution - and a bunch of bts!

Hiya folks, not going to be able to make my deadline for a video tomorrow unfortunately! Have ended up being on set non-stop this week - just got back from an all day maneuver and am heading out at 3am again (5 hours from now) for another full day on set.

Good news is the images I've made this week are probably going to be the best/coolest subject matter I've ever had the pleasure of beholding - and soon sharing with you!

Next video is going to be about composition, here's a couple of stills from it to hold you over for now haha!

Will polish things off and get it out into the world asap, for now a few hours sleep!

(also going to be doing a print giveaway in that video so keep an eye out!)

Gonna be a very minor delay uploading today's video because I just realised I exported it with slightly wrong settings lol!

Bare with me while I get things up in decent quality haha!
