"So for us here today, may we also examine ourselves? Are we also like the soldiers who saw Christ? They felt his power yet continued on in unbelief. "Childbearing is the way that God saved the world. All of us who will ever be saved will be saved through childbearing. In the Garden, when God's curse fell on Adam and Eve, it fell on the serpent as well—Satan, the Great Deceiver, was cursed to eat dust as a snake and to be at war with humankind. God then promised Eve that she would go on to have an offspring who would deal the fatal blow to Satan. Galatians 4:4 says, "When the fullness of time came, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem us from the curse of the law." Eve's distant descendant, Mary, would have God's incarnate son in her womb and give birth to the Head Crusher, Jesus Christ. Jesus, who would live a perfect life and die a criminal's death on the cross to take God's wrath for our sin upon himself, to grant us his righteousness that his wayward children might be a part of his household in a restored relationship with God, to destroy Satan, sin, and death once and for all for all those who repent and call upon his name. This is how childbearing has been redeemed, how motherhood has been redeemed. Women of Grace, your womanhood has been redeemed by Christ. Serve him with it, with everything you have and everything you are, to the glory of his name and the building of his kingdom." - Bryan Warkentin
