Watch out! Do your recording levels look like this? The safe range for recording is -12dB to -6dB. If you see audio at 0dB, the audio will sound crunchy, scratchy, and BAD.

Hey PRI subscribers!
Thank you for being part of our community. We have some news to share with you about our YouTube channel. In the next few days this channel will reveal a new logo and name, PRX.
As you may have heard, in 2018 PRI and PRX merged to form a united nonprofit media company specializing in producing and distributing audio content, building technology, and training independent producers. After extensive review and research, we agreed that both PRX and PRI are powerful, admired organizations but that PRX best reflected the changing nature of media, and in particular, the continued shift to on-demand content.
As PRX moves forward as a fully integrated organization under a single name, the qualities that PRI has stood for — the highest quality journalism, global perspectives, and new voices— will remain absolutely central to who we are and what we strive to deliver to you on this channel and beyond.
Under our new name, you can still expect to find the same content you love from your favorite PRI programs like The World— with even more podcasts, videos from live events, and instructional videos from PRX.
If you haven’t already, be sure to click on the bell for notifications when we post new videos.

PRX is a non-profit media company shaping the future of audio by producing and distributing content, building technology, and training talented, independent producers.
On this channel, you'll find podcasting resources like the Podcasting 101 series, clips from live events such as the Google Podcasts creator program and Project Catapult showcases, and segments from our popular shows.
In 2018, PRX merged with Public Radio International (PRI), a public media network that since 1983 expanded public radio through alternative programming, with an emphasis on international and cultural reporting.
