The Midwest Latino Health Research, Training and Policy Cent

About

The Midwest Latino Health Research, Training and Policy Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago Jane Addams College of Social Work has been serving the Hispanic and Latino community in Chicago since 1993.

We are partly an academic research center that conducts studies on health and social disparities and develops training programs and policy, but is also involved at the grass-roots level and committed to engaging in community organizing and mobilization around the issue of health.

We provide technical assistance to communities in establishing new organizations, training, and building partnerships in areas with high concentrations of Hispanics/Latinos locally, regionally, and nationally.

We are a grantee of the CDC's R.E.A.C.H. Across the U.S. program (Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health) and house one of the 18 Centers of Excellence in the Elimination of Disparities (CEED).
