Sammy Roan is a Midwestern based guitarist/bassist/songwriter.
Sammy's true love is classic R&B and roots rock. He has worked with Rock n Roll Hall of Fame members the Shirelles, rockabilly legend Dale Hawkins, Stax Records recording artist Sam "Soul Man" Moore (Sam and Dave), 80's guitar god George Lynch (Dokken/ Lynch Mob), jammed with Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen, played with Don Felder (Eagles) and Danny Shirley (Confederate Railroad) been on tours with Blackberry Smoke, tossed back beers and shared joints and shared the stage with more artists than he can count in venues across the world. Brantley Gilbert, Jerry Reed, Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, the Nelson Brothers, David Alan Coe, Truckstop Troubadours, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mary Wilson (the Supremes), etc.
Sammy is currently performing with black dirt country star Matt Poss and even gets a song on one of Matt's albums now and then.
