At the Society of Women Engineers at the University of Washington (SWE at UW), we are a team of students who strive to connect and support our local K-12 community. SWE Explore and SWE Code were created to engage with these students and beyond during the difficulties of COVID-19 to help them feel connected and engaged with their future.
SWE Explore is video programming designed to introduce students to the world of engineering! Through testimonials from students/professionals, fun at-home activities, and virtual panel events, SWE Explore strives to inform and excite students about the fields we find fascinating every day.
SWE Code's mission is to make Computer Science learning accessible and engaging for students regardless of background/experience. Through a series of short bite-sized programming tutorials, SWE Code hopes to instill confidence and inspire students to consider Computer Science as a career choice
