Dr William Gee is a Senior Lecturer and Forensic Researcher based at Griffith University, Australia.
He teaches a wide range of forensic chemistry topics, while his research is undertaken in collaboration with the Queensland Police Service in areas such as fingermark visualization, gunshot residue analysis, and developing new forensic technologies.
As the study of forensic science is a fascinating (IMHO), these outreach videos seek to promote and improve scientific literacy within the wider community while engaging with the topic.
Topics might include...
Instrumental techniques;
Presumptive drug testing;
Teaching chemistry with forensic science;
Fingermark examination methods;
Undertaking postgraduate studies on forensic topics;
Expert witness testimony;
...as well as others (likely uploaded in preparation for teaching my student cohort!)
