We are all Someone.
We all should matter.
But what should we do when we no longer matter...to ourselves?
This is life.
'I would have broken walls...
gladly walked through stone
But You…
You built a fortress
I could not scale
and hid my redemption
behind your throne
And so
My wounds
continually bled
this unraveling
thread
of the
strength we bred
Crowned
useless
Royal
And
Red"
This poem I wrote is titled;
'Simply Red'
I, and many of you, may indeed have one, or many different, mental health illnesses.....
But that does NOT mean we are incapable of complex thinking, writing, filming, holding interesting conversations, driving, going to college, holding down jobs, or basically just being human beings.
Please reserve judgment until you've gotten to know us.
We are your neighbors, friends, and family.
Don't assume we can't read or write because of our mental illnesses.
