Rastak is one of the most well-known bands in Iranian contemporary folk music, formed as an experimental music group in 1997. We preserve and showcase Iranian folk music to the world, blending traditional and modern rhythms while incorporating language, culture, and history for an authentic experience. Since the beginning, Rastak has been trying to combine the regional sounds that are well known with those that are less well known to shorten the generational gap and create a geographical bridge in the music of Iran.
Rastak has participated in numerous international music festivals and concerts hosted in Iran, England, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Sweden, the United States, Canada, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Chile, Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Belgium, Oman, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Erbil, United Arab Emirates, etc.
