Pieces of a Man //
Manchester six-strong collective electronically manipulating and pushing the sonic boundaries of conventional soul.
Crafting immersive, textured sounds, built with hip-hop, funk, neo-soul, gospel and electronic soundscapes.
Having chosen their name after hearing the news of the death of Chicago jazz-poet and bluesologist Gil Scott-Heron, Pieces of a Man pay homage to his groundbreaking debut album. Beyond this, it is also an encompassment of the brokenness and recuperation that both artists reflect.
Born out of the emerging soul scene in Manchester, #POAM are by no means a local act - with influences stretching across the globe.
