Richard Killion, a.k.a. The Tie Dyed Therapy, is an Occupational Social Worker with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families throughout Corporate America. His therapeutic approach, a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy has allowed him to help people work with both their thoughts and emotions.
A client inspired him to create Wisdom Cards - a deck of cards that draw upon the lessons he and his clients have learned over the years. Drawing upon a tie dyed design theme, which denotes an unconventional approach, Wisdom Cards are being used in many different ways including individual mindfulness practices, personal journaling, and as employee team building exercises. The cards are even being used at get-togethers in people’s homes as conversational starters. As one layperson put it, “these cards are making therapy accessible and relatable.”
