Coming up on this channel (as a special request) - a tribute to 50 years of hip hop. I watched the entire 8 hours of the recent concert celebration at Yankee Stadium (cause you know I'm a BX GIRL 4 LIFE - my grandmother was born near the stadium and my parents were born in the South Bronx) and was blown away by how many of the songs and artists I actually knew...despite not being a real hardcore fan of the genre. I certainly don't have much of the music on this channel up to this point. The early days I remember - going to those "jams" in parks and streets in the 70's as a young girl never thinking that the music would become what it is today - listened to and embraced by people worldwide. Stay tuned!
