The beauty and importance of Clyde's photography has generated widespread recognition resulting in many museum exhibits. He has been given many honors, among them the Artist Hall of Fame Award, the highest award that can be given to a private citizen by the state of Florida, the Ansel Adams Conservation Award and Distinguished Artist Award from the Florida House in Washington DC. Clyde has also completed six Public Broadcasting programs on the environment of Florida, with three of them being award-winning documentaries. Much of his work can be seen in his numerous books.
