Melody created Wherever I May Roam in 2015 and is still going strong on a host of social channels. She travels the country (and often world) highlighting small towns, plus where to stay, play, & eat while you are there. Cruising, casinos, multi-gen vacations, and road trips are her specialties. She also freelances for print/digital.
Originally from WV, Melody was an RVer for a year, and now resides in Mesquite, NV — a big move from Vero Beach, FL.
Melody's book "100 Things to Do in West Virginia Before You Die" came out in 2023. One of her favorite jobs is an expert contributor to USA Today 10BEST Reader’s Choice.
Melody co-owns the annual Southern Travelers Explore (#STE) travel conference for bloggers, influencers, & tourism professionals with her daughter. Now in its 7th year, 2026 will be in Louisiana’s River Parishes.
