in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Just dropped the latest video on The Basics of Circular Motion (and Beyond)! I hope you like it. It's not as unique as some of the others, nor is it as accessible to the average viewer, so it probably won't get as many views as the last video. But that's okay with me; I'm still pleased with how it turned out.
As an FYI, I completed filming for two additional videos that I hope to complete in the coming months, and these two are really going to be really cool! I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm thinking they might reach a million views!

If you didn't hear, SoME3 results were announced this morning, and my video was chosen as an honorable mention (top 25, but not top 5). I must say that the overall quality of all of the submissions is pretty amazing, so in all honesty I think the top 25 should really have an asterisk by it. Probably, on a different day, the judges might very well have chosen a different 25. (Having said that, it till feels nice to have made the top 25!)

Greetings!
I was recently notified that my entry into SoME3 was in the top 100 and would be reviewed in more detail. This particular video is not very "mathy," so I'm guessing it won't rise to the top 5, but it still feels nice to make the top 100. The results are supposed to be announced on Sept. 22, so I should hear something before then if it's one of the top 25.

I have been overwhelmed with a book revision project, which basically forced me to take a lengthy hiatus from working on videos. I'm hoping I can now maintain a more steady release of videos.
It seems that a number of people felt like the latest video (circular motion) is set up as a bit of a "gotcha" question. I guess to some extent I can understand this. Do you think it's worth re-doing the thumbnail to make this less of an issue? I could change it to Circular Motion: An Interesting Surprise, or leave it as is (or change it to something else). What do you think?

Greetings!
Over the weekend, I was notified that my entry into SoME2 (Square Orbits Part 2) was in the top 100 and would be reviewed in more detail. I am super excited and hope this means Grant Sanderson will actually see my video. I've got my fingers crossed that it will make the top 5, as this would likely lead to some real exposure, but I've seen a few entries that are really excellent, so the competition is pretty fierce!
On another note, I'm currently scripting two videos simultaneously. One is a more "standard" physics topic, the other is not. It will probably be another couple of weeks before either of them are finished, but hopefully not much longer. I'll post a teaser image when I am further along.

Greetings, and welcome to All Things Physics!
First off, I want to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive comments on my YouTube channel. If it is not obvious, I am very new to YouTube and to social media in general. As an example, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a COMMUNITY tab on YouTube until it magically showed up.
I am really excited about embarking on this new endeavor of making physics videos; in some sense I feel like I have finally found my calling. Unfortunately, these videos take a significant amount of effort to produce and it will take me a little time to figure out how to manage the workload along with my day job. I have some ideas on how to create more time to devote to this channel, but for the foreseeable future I probably won't be able to release new videos as quickly as I would like. But don't worry, I have a long list of cool topics to share and several scripts already being drafted.
I will be releasing one more video on the topic of Fourier series, mainly because I didn't want the part 2 video to be too long and there wasn't enough time to truly appreciate the beauty and intricacy of how these "orbits" are formed. As a teaser, the image shown here shows the smallest arrows for a particular "orbit" when magnified 1,000 times! I was hoping to have this video posted this week, but I recently tested positive for COVID and my recovery has been slow.
Lastly, I am always open to constructive suggestions regarding this channel, and for running a successful YouTube channel in general. So if you know something I don't know, and can help me avoid making rookie mistakes, please feel free to share!

This channel is dedicated to taking an in-depth look at all things physics in a rigorous yet spirited manner. The main goal is to break down a complex phenomenon into bite-sized chunks so that the entire phenomenon can be understood as a series of interconnected, easy-to-understand pieces. And while I do not shy away from using mathematics, I try to approach things so the math is not required for understanding the essence of the phenomenon. Leave a comment if there are specific things you would like to see discussed; no promises, but I'll try.
