FREE AUDIOBOOK

I did a poll on LinkedIn and YouTube about which book I should release next. I had mixed results but I decided to go with the Audiobook on Sound Therapy. This was meant to be a book about how sound can help people with tinnitus, hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound), helping children to sleep, reducing nightmares and helping those ADHD to concentrate on the task at hand.

I started with this book because I thought it was quite interesting, but really this is not my speciality subject, so instead of charging people to purchase the audiobook, I thought I would just give it away for free.

Having just released my first book (tonsillectomy - a complete guide), I want to thank everyone for buying it.

I appreciate that some people would rather not buy it, so if you have questions about Tonsillectomy, please add your questions in the comments section. If I get a good response I'll do a video to answer the questions.

I hope that helps people.

Take care.

I Wrote a Book! - Tonsillectomy: a Complete Guide

A few years ago, my youngest child had enlarged tonsils that caused occasional breathing and snoring issues during sleep. Although he didn’t suffer from frequent infections, I was torn about whether to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. I was aware of the evidence, risks, and complications, and even consulted with some surgeon friends whom I trusted to operate on my son. The challenge was that I found it almost impossible to make an objective decision about my own family. I couldn’t help but think that for people without medical knowledge, the decision must be far more challenging, especially given the abundance of misinformation about this operation online.

I wrote this book to help people in similar situations. My goal is to provide as much clear detailed information on tonsillectomy operations as possible to help you decide whether this is right for you. It is a complex topic, and if doctors find it hard to understand, it is no wonder that patients do as well.

If you want to download a copy of this ebook (about £5) - please click the link below. 157 pages - approx 40,000 words.

I am currently working on a YouTube video about the complex and conflicting association between high blood pressure and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Topics I'm planning to cover....

1. Many people believe that their OSA has not affected their blood pressure as it seems normal when they check it - I will explain why this is misleading.

2. Some people with OSA seem to get worse when starting CPAP rather than better - why would this be the case?

3. Which people get better BP with CPAP?

4. Why some OSA patients get resistant hypertension (on three anti-hypertensives but still have poor control).

5. If you have severe OSA and BP - how to use a start / stop technique with CPAP and diuretics to get back on track.

Look out for the video which will hopefully be released in the next few days!
