My Name is Nick Cousvis and I've been fishing for the better part of 37 years. When I was a kid in school, I remember drawing pictures of Bass boats and Bass leaping out of the water more than I remember doing actual school work which explains a lot!
In my early years, I focused on tournaments up here in Canada when popularity was high, money was good and competition was tough! One bad tournament and you wouldn't make it to the finals. 2 particular Classics that I'll never forget are the 1999 and 2002 where i finished second in both. In 1999 first place took home 80K, 2nd place was $1,000 and a set of tires. I had the winning fish on and lost it at the boat. One fish cost me $75,000! Today, I'm still a tournament angler, but focus more on Trophy Smallmouth Bass here in the Great Lakes region. I started this 4 years ago, and I have boat 18 over 7lbs and 3 over 8! I don't guide, but I sell experiences. No Live bait on my boat, just artificial lures.
