CAVITIES ARE NOT NORMAL

If you surround yourself with people and practitioners who have limited their understanding…

You’ll end up with limited results.

Cavities and gum disease are avoidable for the overwhelming majority of people.

The microbiome is a huge topic and has many layers to it, more than we even know of at this time.

Whether it’s preventing cavities or improving/preventing dementia, the oral microbiome is a key player.

A fundamental principle of holistic dentistry is the following: Teeth are directly connected to every single cell and organ in the body and therefore are intimately correlated to our bodily functions, organ systems, tissues and cellular health.

In modern medicine, large organ systems, like the brain, skin, lungs, kidneys, heart get most of the attention and we tend to forget that each of us are ONE SINGLE BEAUTIFUL ORGANISM and everything is connected. Alongside our somewhat understood biochemistry we are also highly interconnected through remarkable energy channels, or energy meridians. Our teeth and organs interact through these lesser known (in Western medicine) superhighways.

First discovered and delicately studied by Chinese medicine scholars many years ago; these meridians affect every organ and physiological system inside of us. Although energy meridians aren’t visible, they can be critical in all health and disease processes.

Energy meridians are the highways which allow for vitality and balance in the body. Our teeth are vitals parts of these energy super highways.
Teeth meridians are the energetic pathways which connect the teeth to particular organs & organ systems and affect not just the mouth but ALL major systems including immune, brain, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, skeletal, muscular and the lymphatic systems.
Tooth meridians become of great importance when restoring health due to energy being obstructed or unregulated by elements such as root canals, corrosive metals, infections, and mercury amalgam side effects.

What’s the big deal with dental amalgam (silver) fillings? Well here’s a few issues to get you thinking…

Mercury is a toxic heavy metal. (PAUSE)
Dental amalgam fillings contain about 50% mercury. (PAUSE)

Mercury in amalgam fillings has been shown to be released into the body in the form of vapor or particles and may accumulate in organs and tissues, leading to adverse health effects.

Even though I really don’t need to go on because that’s more than enough, I will…
❌️ Allergic reactions
❌️ Long-term durability

Mercury is hazardous for several other reasons:
❌️ Toxicity
❌️ Persistence
❌️ Mobility
❌️ Environmental effects

Because of its toxicity, persistence, mobility, and environmental effects, mercury is considered a serious environmental pollutant that requires careful management and control to prevent further harm to ecosystems and human health.

So why do we not widely recognize this substance as a problem in someone’s mouth?
