Okay, so, this video is a long time coming. 3+ months of constant delays.
But, I have finally recovered all previously lost footage, and my entire project is completely restored and fixed.
I will be releasing it in about 2 weeks or so, once I polish out the entire thing.

So, I had a bit of a health scare recently, so I haven't been working on anything for the past 2 weeks.
I'm going to take another week off, however, thankfully, everything turned out to be manageable, so we can go back to modding coverage and showcase more incredible Skyrim mods made in 2024!

Hi guys,
Quick fyi, I can finally, with confidence, schedule the release of the Dawnguard Remastered video, which will be a day between Thursday, the 29th, and Sunday, March 3rd.
Looking forward to releasing it, this video has been in my backlog for months now, but I think it turned out pretty well.
After that, since I've figured out all the challenges that come with being a first time dad, I am also somewhat excited to announce that I will be putting more focus and energy into this channel, which will result in much more frequent uploads than in the past year and a half.
I appreciate all your the support and the very positive reception of the Paid Mods Critical Overview video, which I expected to be poorly received. It turned out to be completely opposite, and I am very thankful for it.

Hey guys,
Now that the holidays are finally over for me and my family, figured I post a brief update.
BGS is once again set up to update Skyrim, potentially causing broken mod lists for many of you who decided to opt into following through with the previous updates.
I will post a small screenshot below to guide you with how you can protect your mod list from these updates, and safe proofing yourself from future changes until the "dust settles down".
It's worth noting that Bethesda has been getting a pass from me in the past due to their open modding policy, however, even though I am blessed with the knowledge to avoid these inconveniences, my patience is running thin and I am personally getting VERY tired of BGS splitting the community apart with these updates, who's sole purpose is, let's face it, to eventually normalize paid mods.
I will have plenty to say about this topic in a future video that will, not only cover paid mods in depth, but also provide critical commentary about the studio I once respected, and their shady practices in the past few years.
And finally, Dawnguard Overhaul is coming out very soon since, starting tomorrow, I can finally go back to finishing it up.

⚠️VERY Important Update On How To Revert Skyrim Update In Case Your Mod List Was Affected ⚠️
Intended for those that missed my previous post and accidentally updated their game.
Reverting to Skyrim Version 1.6.640 / Old CK versions.
Press Windows + R and type steam://open/console, this will open steam console, then you'll have to type in the following commands (proceed by typing one by one):
download_depot 489830 489831 3660787314279169352 <- Game Files Part 1
download_depot 489830 489832 2756691988703496654 <- Game Files Part 2
download_depot 489830 489833 5291801952219815735 <- Game Files Part 3 (SkyrimSE.exe)
download_depot 1946180 1946182 5099162879680505807 <- CreationKit.exe
download_depot 1946180 1946183 1633303557398589581 <- CreationKit Files
Note that the download time will vary per person, but once it's done, you'll have to locate your steam folder, generally at C:\ProgramFiles\Steam\Steamapps\Content, and inside there will be two folders, one will be named app_489830 and the other app_1946180.
The first one is your Skyrim game, the second one is the Creation Kit.
Now open your Skyrim installation folder and delete everything inside of it, and go to the app_489830 folder previously mentioned; there will be 3 folders inside (depot_489831, depot_489832, and depot_489833), and inside each folder there will be game files. Copy each of the contents to where your Skyrim folder is at (it should be empty before you do this).
Do the same with CK if you're interested in having it. Now go to C:\ProgramFiles\Steam\Steamapps\ and find the appmanifest_489830.acf file, right click on it and click on priorities and set it to read only.
Done.
You're now in 1.6.640 and the game will never update.
Apologies for repeated posts unrelated to channel news, but these updates are incredibly important for anyone who's mod lists have been affected by recent Bethesda updates.

Well, looks like Skyrim is getting a new update tomorrow.
As majority of my viewers are modders themselves, here is what I plan to do, and what I would advise everyone to do as well, in order to avoid their mod lists getting broken by this update.
To block updates go to C:\ProgramFiles\Steam\steamapps and find the appmanifest_489830.acf file, right click to open up a drop down menu, click on properties and set it to READ ONLY.
This will automatically block any and all updates. (Note, if you can't find it, then go to the drive you have Skyrim installed on and find the SteamLibrary folder, then Steamapps and that's it. (if your Skyrim is installed on D drive, then the route will be D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps).
It's unlikely this update breaks addresses again (although it would suck big time if it did), so all it would take to update would be SKSE + Address Library and whatever other mods that don't rely on Address Library (like RaceMenu or ENB Helper).
You should also backup your SkyrimSE.exe and bink2w64.dll files found in the Skyrim installation folder.
Make a copy of those files in a folder somewhere else.
If you're on GOG, this will not affect you at all, & if you're on Gamepass / Xbox, there's nothing you can do and this will not affect you at all (as Gamepass / Xbox cannot use SKSE.)
As far as the Dawnguard DLC Overhaul is concerned, the video is coming along nicely, but taking a bit of extra time because I got really sick past week.
