Health Care Communication, formerly known as DocCom, is an online communication skills learning curriculum offering over 44 modules. Hospitals and residency programs are using Health Care Communication to improve their HCAHPS scores, since analytics from leading organizations indicate the communication dimensions drive the overall scores. Medical schools and physician assistant programs use Health Care Communication as a flipped classroom style. Forty-four modules (each about one hour) cover a wide range of communication topics from delivering bad news to communicating on teams with over 700 unscripted videos between clinicians and patients. Videos include pop outs where the clinicians talk to the learners about what’s going on in their minds at that point in the conversations.
