You don't need to have a lot of money and fancy tools to have a hobby. Forget about work and problems and have a bit of time for yourself and your loved ones.
If you don't like cars maybe do some wood work, pottery or whatever you like doing even if you think is childish or irrelevant.
I used to have some of these cars when I was a kid and I remember it was a happy time. While I'm doing restorations my mind goes back in time and lots of good memories and anecdotes bring a smile to my face.
