Bearly Homesteading is part time homesteading and full time crazy adventure. We’re foster parents, adoptive parents, a writer, an engineer, and four adopted kids. We started with a 10 acre property at 8000ft in the Colorado mountains, and then used that as a springboard to buy a 130 acre property in Eastern Washington near the Canadian boarder. But this is the place for high altitude and high experimentation… usually with a high failure rate the first time around.
We talk about gardening, preserving, raising animals and children, foster care, woodworking, cooking, sewing, and many other DIY topics for everyone. We believe in homesteading as a philosophy that anyone can apply to their life situation. Whether you have ten acres or a one-bedroom apartment, you will find something here for you.
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Or do without.
