Preparation for Chinese Government Scholarship 2024-25 Session
Start preparing the necessary documents in advance for the upcoming 2024-25 session of the Chinese Government Scholarship. If you haven't received your degree yet, you can apply using a hope certificate and final transcript. Here is a list of the required documents:
1. Passport (10 years recommended)
2. Passport Size Photos (white background)
3. Curriculum Vitae (Europass format recommended)
4. Self Introduction Video (one minute)
5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form
6. Police Character Certificate (valid for 6 months, attested by MOFA and Chinese Embassy, in some Universities)
7. Bachelor Transcripts and Degree (notarized)
8. Intermediate Certificate (notarized)
9. Matriculation Certificate (notarized)
10. Study Plan (signed by prospective supervisor, for Ph.D. applicants only)
11. Research Proposal (3-4 pages)
12. Recommendation Letters (2 letters from Associate Professor or Full Professor)
13. Published Papers
14. Extracurricular Certificates
15. English Proficiency Letter
16. Character Certificate (from your last institution)
17. Pre-acceptance Letter (from a Chinese Associate Professor or Full Professor for higher chances of scholarship)
18. Bank Statement for Partial or Self Supporting Programs (7.5 lac per year, for the last six months, issued within the last two months)
Note: All documents should be duly attested by a Notary Public Officer (Only photocopies), Board, IBCC, HEC, and MOFA as applicable.
Important Dates and Tips:
- Email to Professors: Start contacting professors from September 15 to December. The best time to send emails is between 5-7 am PST, Monday to Friday.
- Application Portal: Opens from October to June every year. Note that Chinese universities have winter vacations from January to late February.
Important Note:
CGPA is just one factor in scholarship and University admissions. A strong study plan, acceptance letters from professors, research publications, and relevant experience also play crucial roles. Many students with lower CGPAs have secured fully funded scholarships by highlighting these other strengths. Stay positive and focus on building a well-rounded application.
