Welcome to the channel to learn about the nature and culture of the deep tropics, starting with Venezuela, the megadiverse country where I was born, raised and raised.
+ The moriche (Mauritia flexuosa) is the tree of life for several original peoples of the north of South America. A morichal is a kind of oasis in the middle of the vast plains. There are miles and miles of vital trees following the course of rivers that flow into the mighty Orinoco.
With the vision of going from the local to the global, I have especially insisted on making visible through ethnography and cinema, the natural and cultural diversity that hides in the environment of the Morichales, of the Orinoco Medio basin, of the Colombian-Venezuelan plain.
All this, without neglecting my journey through many other remote corners, through the depths where nature is the boss, having as a location the infinite inter-tropical and intercultural spectrum.
