Unzyme's mission is to add some thought into pop music, and deliver it in a beautiful, danceable electronic form. Stories, emotions, modern electronics, vivid melodies and stadium-sized choruses are at the heart of Unzyme's biomechanical pop music. We're influenced by melody-driven, emotion-injecting bands and artists, such as Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Röyksopp, Imagine Dragons, Pet Shop Boys, Green Day, Sia, U2 and Bon Jovi.
All Unzyme’s songs are written by vocalist and band leader Joona Nuutinen. Band members Ville Hoikkala (drums) and keyboardist Daniel Lawrence (keyboards) help with song arrangements and play the songs live. Unzyme co-produces all songs with electronic music producer Lasse Turunen (Pihka Is My Name).
Founded in Jyväskylä, Finland, Unzyme has worked on their special blend of contemporary electronic pop music since 2009. Unzyme has released four albums - BRAINFOREST (2010), OVERRIDE (2015), TRANSPLANT (2017) and FORENSICS (2021).
