Jorge Durán Rodríguez is a composer, Latin percussionist, and vibraphonist known for blending Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, and contemporary electronic music. Born in Venezuela and now based in Italy, his musical journey began at the age of eight, deeply influenced by the rhythmic traditions of his homeland. With over 30 years of experience, he has become recognized for his ability to shape and manipulate rhythm using electronic tools.
Jorge has worked in Brazil, the U.S., Germany, and Spain, composing for film, leading a mambo revival, and releasing seven critically acclaimed albums. His music incorporates audiovisual technology to create immersive, multi-sensory experiences. In 2025, he will present a groundbreaking project blending Latin American traditions, Yoruba drumming, and modern electronics in Asia, continuing his work as a cultural ambassador and leading figure in contemporary music.
