For more than 60 years, Corbeau has been an established name in the manufacturing of top quality leather handbags and other fashion accessories – this is something that founder, Mr. Ludwig Kurth, Mr. Wiemar and later his son, Walter, made sure of since the day the company first opened its doors in 1947.
Over the years their expertise and skills were transferred to staff members – some are still working in the company and have 20 to 30 years’ experience within the company.
Pre-World War II, the Kurth family manufactured machinery for the leather manufacturing trade in Offenbach, Germany. And the fact that there is still a pre-war machine which is currently in daily use in the production room, proves the point that anything associated with the Corbeau brand is built to last and here to stay!
