Our History
In 1969, Robert R. Williamson learned of a PVC coated polyester bag that was currently being manufactured in Japan for use in Europe and Asia. He negotiated a contract to sell this container in the U.S.A. and Canada. As a result of this application, it became apparent that there was a need in the marketplace for an intermediate bulk container for use in applications too large for 50# bags but too small for truckload or rail car quantities. This lead to the development of the woven polypropylene container as we know it today.
