About
Adult acquired speech apraxia. I was diagnosed with it after a cerebral vascular accident (CVA)/small stroke in October of 2015. I wanted to find others who have apraxia but really, couldn't find any good examples of adults like me. I decided I couldn't be the only one out there, so I posted videos of me and my progress.
Apraxia is a motor planning disorder. My thoughts and intelligence are intact. I am unable to get my mouth to form the words I want to say.
I'm now very pregnant and have spent the last two weeks in the hospital due to preeclampsia. We are Trying to cook baby Parker until 34 weeks. He will be born with a cleft lip and palate, so stay tuned as we document his birth and progress!
