Learning how to manage your emotions is an important life skill and leads to better mental health. Like many of the people in my community, I have ADHD so that means I naturally struggle with managing my emotions. Eliminating shame & implementing a system has helped me regulate my mood and make better decisions. This has allowed me to have better financial outcomes, stronger relationships & a better sense of self. Sometimes when we think we have a âmoneyâ problem, itâs actually a problem with regulating our mood - and understanding this has been a true game changer for me!
For more information on how Iâve been learning about better financial management, check out my most recent Instagram video to learn about Bank of Americaâs Better Money Habits đ #bankofamerica #bettermoneyhabits #adhd

Neurodivergent relationships are a unique roller coaster, but it's a ride worth taking!
We're honest, dedicated, and speak a certain language and that's why we tend to choose partners & friends who can relate to us!

l've talked to thousands of suicidal patients (& friends) in my career and I always tell them the same thing: "You probably don't want to die, you're just looking for a new way to live". l've never had anyone disagree with that statement.
Turns out that in order to live and live well, we need a few key things: a purpose for being here, a healthy and safe environment, basic necessities accounted for, and non-transactional
relationships where we feel like we matter.
These are all things that can be very difficult to achieve, so when you're at your lowest you have to BELIEVE that there's hope for things to get better.
And there's ALWAYS hope, it's just that depression, anxiety, grief and other mental health issues make it hard to capture the small moments of joy that are happening around us every day.
There's no perfect moment to turn your life around, but things get better when you start to count up the small wins. In life, some things aren't that important and some things matter a lot, but happiness is always worth fighting for. Keep Fighting! #SmallWins #KeepGoing

Most days, Iâd struggle to get out of bed as it would take all my energy and then some to get the day going. If you have ADHD like me, you can probably relate ⌠However, what made things so much better for me was eliminating shame AND implementing a SYSTEM. Iâd spend so much time telling my patients to stay on their medications as they started to feel better, but I wouldnât want to take mine because I didnât want to be âdependentâ on themâŚ. At some point, I realized that keeping my meds and a water bottle by the night stand, exercising, and positive self-talk was beginning to transform my life.
If you can relate, just know that you are capable of anything you put your mind to and that once you let go of the opinions of others, treat yourself as your own best friend, & start to implement a system ⌠youâll start to fly đ #KeepGoing #TakeOff

Growing up with undiagnosed ADHD/ autism can be traumatic. You don't have an explanation for why you are the way that you are and why you do the things that you do. You'll encounter people that will take your kindness for weakness and look to take from you. You'll struggle to make friends & sustain relationships. But when you realize that nothing was ever wrong with you, you'll soar & find your people. Atlanta, see you Thursday Night at the Uptown Comedy Corner! #neurodivergent #adhd #asd
