Born 26 years ago, Beth Cornell grew up in Harrogate, Yorkshire on a diet of 90s pop, computer games & youthful romance. She went on to channel these themes into Litany and the success of early releases such as ‘Work This Out’ were soon dwarfed by hit ‘Bedroom’ from 2017’s 4 Track EP.
In Yorkshire, Beth honed live shows that make Litany such an essential IRL experience. Litany’s shows have always felt more like the best house party ever than an average gig, where all the cool kids & any judgements are left at the door. The peak of years of touring was a sell-out show at London’s Garage in October 2019.
Released in November 2019, Single Player Mode, including ‘My Dude’ (BBC Intro’s Track of the Week), showed Litany reaching beyond the limits of indie/bedroom/alt into the realms of pure unashamed pop. Ever growing in confidence, ability & irresistible charm, Litany is set to join the ranks of her inspirations: Robyn, Christine and The Queens, Caroline Polachek…
