What Isidro Rubio loves most about making music is songwriting. After playing in punk and rock'n'roll bands, he decided to go solo as SanIsidro. His first EP "a lo pesau, a lo bajo y a lo llano" was released in 2020 under Slovenly Recordings. That collection of songs laid the foundations for a broad-scope project without genre or style limitations. Freed from the constraints of composing and playing in a band, the musician soared high with renewed energy.

He started at a very young age, playing his father's bongo —a flamenco percussionist and dancer— and the guitar with his mother. At the age of 9, he joined his school's traditional music group in Valencia and, as expected, at 14 he was already forming his first punk band. He would also play in 60's rock, punk, and garage bands like Venereans or Wau y los Arrrghs!!!, which took him on tours around Europe, America, and Australia.
