๐ Join for as little as $2 a month!
๐ Patreon funds will be used to purchase gear to review on YouTube
๐ ALL gear purchased with Patreon funds will be given away to Patreons!
๐ Patreons will vote on what gear I should buy, test, review, and then give away!
๐ Exclusive live streams!
On our first livestream next month (April) I'll be giving away several gear items, including the following:
-NiteCore NB10000 Power Bank ($60 value)
-Anker PowerCore 10000 Power Bank ($25 value)
-Fire Maple Stove ($70 value)
-Teton Altos Sleeping Pad ($50 value)
-Gear Doctors Sleeping Pad ($50 value)
I'm starting the Patreon in an effort to fund gear purchases rather than rely on receiving free gear from manufacturers (and the strings that are often attached). I'd like to keep Dose of Dirt independent!
Hope to see many of you over there!

VOTE BELOW! What price range would you look in for a trekking pole tent if you're trying to save weight, but want a tent you feel you can trust?

30% OFF AT HAMMOCK GEAR! My two favorite quilts are from this company (I have a 40F and 0F) . They are well worth the regular price, but right now you can get 30% off! I priced out the specs of my 40F and youโll see that instead of being almost $300 it is less than $200.
HG is NOT a sponsor (I have no sponsors) and I donโt get anything if you buy from them. I just freaking love their quilts.

FIRST: Apologies for being MIA the last few weeks. Life was coming fast and then this last weekend I got hit with ๐ฆ ๐ฆ ๐ฆ . Iโm still recovering but finally managed to finish a video today (recorded pre-sickness). More vids coming soon!
SECOND: I canโt believe Dose of Dirt is approaching 3,000 subscribers! You guys and girls are seriously the coolest! Iโve said over and over that my favorite part of YouTube is hearing about your adventures and gear and just talking about that or anything else!
THIRD: This pic was from a trail run about a month ago after 3 days of incessant rain. What my brother and I thought would be a small stream turned out to be a ridiculous river fording. Always an adventure!
More on the ๐ฆ : I canโt help but be a little concerned about long term impact on my lungs. Iโve heard some horror stories about active people feeling shortness of breath for a long time after they recover. Im hoping to be back on the trails backpacking, hiking, and running soon. Any tips from those who have gone through this would be much appreciated!
Thanks Dirt Junkies! You all kick butt!

THIS is my favorite 3 season sleeping pad! AND IT'S ON SALE ON AMAZON right now ($33.99 instead of the regular $39.99). The pad is 4 inches thick, 75 inches long, and 23 inches wide. It's comfortable with quilts because the material doesn't feel plasticky. It weighs 26oz, so probably not "ultralight", but for the comfort it is totally worth it!
.
Just wanted to let you guys know it was on sale!

The end of this month will mark 1 year on YouTube! My favorite part has been getting to know people through comments, emails, your YouTube videos, or carrier pigeon (ok, fine, I haven't received any messages via pigeon, but I'd honestly love to some day).
ANYWAY
I thought it would be cool to do a live Q&A towards the end of the month. But in order to make it awesome I have a few requests:
1. Vote below on what timing might be best for you ๐๐ป
2. If you have questions or topics you think would be cool to include, drop them in the comments! ๐ฃ
3. When this happens, be patient with me. I've never done it before and could just end up looking like an idiot. ๐คช
3. Now go on a hike, backpacking trip, trail run, or just walk around the block to enjoy the outside. It's an awesome place! ๐๐ฅพ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฒ If you can't do that, check out some cool backpacking videos and get your outside time in virtually!
Life is better with some dirt in it!

Dose of Dirt is a place where I can share my love for the great outdoors. I want to share what I've learned, the gear I rely on (or shouldn't have) and what might help you enjoy some dirt time either solo or with your family (or dogs!). So let's share our adventures, whether in the mountains, in a tent, on a bike, or on a trail! Let's get our Dose of Dirt!
Dose of Dirt โ Mission Statement:

To make the outdoors accessible by removing actual or perceived barriers, including doubt, expense, and lack of experience.
To create a community of dirt lovers that uplifts, inspires, serves, and laughs together.
