Ziona Riley is a Nashville based singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist originally from Bloomington, Indiana. Raised primarily on classical and hymnal music, she is a skilled weaver of harmony and dissonance. Meaning and mystery, levity and lethargy, pointed palaver and vivid vignettes can all be found in the interplay between chord voicings, melodies, and lyrics. Riley is currently recording her first full-length album with co-producer and longtime collaborator, Austin Hoke, to be released in 2024. The Nashville Scene listed Riley’s self-released “Not Too Precious” as one of the best local EPs of 2019, calling it “...a short collection of deeply thoughtful, impactful songs about family and contemporary society.”
