Kerstin Schwarz Damm is a German restorer and builder of historic keyboard instruments, specialized in the earliest pianos from the 18th century. She has successfully built various pianos by Bartolomeo Cristofori and Gottfried Silbermann. In 2008 she founded the company ANIMUS CRISTOPHORI. From 1998 to 2014 she lived in Italy but in 2015 she moved back to Germany. Since 2017 she is also teaching the construction of Early keyboard instruments at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts & Royal Conservatory of University College Ghent in Belgium.
