Welcome to Starfleet. Our objective in this timeline (dispensation) is to reform the LDS church. Religion is to the point where it is stagnating the human species. What if we can re-route Mormon religion through the Dilithium Crystals and then adjust the phase frequencies of the output to be harmonious with Mankind? It would shatter the old shell of Mormonism that relies on deceit and lies. But in it's place would be a new creed/religion based on facts and human potential. We resurrected Brother Joe back from the 1844 timeline and he is pissed off to see what the Mormon Church has become. He wants to change it. And if you're half the Mormon you say you are then you will assist in our efforts.
