Ours is a friendly, online community of Jews and non-Jews. We seek to return to the best ideals of the Israelite religion, within the tradition of the 1st century community who followed the teachings of the Jewish prophet Yeshua and James the Just. We are not messianic or rabbinic ('Talmidi' comes from the Hebrew/Aramaic word for 'follower'; it's nothing to do with the Talmud). We therefore do not believe that Yeshua was divine, or the son of god, or a messiah. We concentrate on his teachings on the humble and compassionate practice of religion, holiness and social equality.
