I learned that there are many different types of collectors. I would characterize myself as a generalist. I do not specialize in any specific manufacture or model of guitar. I cannot recite all the permutations of a specific guitar through the years it has been produced. I am the guy that knows a little bit about a lot of guitars. I want them all. I have limited funds, so the guitars I buy tend to be the guitars that are usually below $1500 in price. I do periodically buy guitars that are in the higher end when it comes to costs. I like all Gibson Les Paul’s but would not turn my nose up at a Tribute model or a Special. Meaning if the guitar plays well and makes me smile – all is good in the world. I love to work on guitars. I like to share the projects I am working on with other like-minded people.
