Welcome to the official YouTube channel of O’Yaba!
O’Yaba was an 8-member South African reggae group led by the dynamic Tshidiso Alexis Faku, who also served as a vocalist. Formed in the early '90s, they created a unique reggae sound that fused Jamaican influences with a distinct South African touch, resonating with audiences at home and abroad.
Key members include guitarists Sydney Makoni and Bernard Themba, keyboardist/vocalist Andries Dlamini, composer/keyboardist Benrobert Mopeli, rhythmic bassist Tsietsi Koetle, and percussionist Pule "Shorty" Mphatseng, whose vibrant beats brought their music to life.
