I have a passion for a lot of things: History, geopolitics, political economy, science, technology, education, and the arts.
I am currently chair and assistant professor of American Studies at the Institute for Area Studies of the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ) and an independent analyst and consultant at my hometown of Ankara, Türkiye (Turkey). The opinions expressed in my work are personal and not shared by any of my employers, business partners, and/or family members.
At present, I am working on my first book (based on my doctoral dissertation), “The Global Cold War in Turkey and Iran: U.S. Diplomacy, Authoritarian Development, and Anti-Americanism.” I most recently published the article “Turkey-United States Relations” for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of American History.
