In 2019 we were coming from a year of rebuilding--our 20 year marriage had nearly fallen apart and we spent all of 2018 focusing on saving it (only by the grace of God). We realized we'd fallen into the rat race of bigger, better, more and we no longer wanted any of that. So we sold 90% of our belongings and moved from a 3400sf home on less than 1/4 acre in town, to a 5th wheel and 20 acres over an hour away. We spent 5.5 months building a much smaller home and figuring out this thing called homesteading.
