Mr OSP, our Dog Sarah and I are off on a camping trip for a few days near Prineriver Reservoir in Oregon....testing our solar set up...we'll be entirely off grid, even packing in water... Day temps in the 90's but evenings in the 50's...good when you can't really run air con off of your battery set up. Hiking, Kayaking, Swimming all on the docket. Back into the world of connectivity on Friday pm.

hi my friends, I think many of us are on well water....can you tell me how often you have your well water tested? do you send it to a lab or a DIY testing kit? When was the last time you tested your well water? I'll be honest and say it's been about 10 years for us...I need to do it again....you?

If you are interested in bush craft and historically accurate living. I've stumbled across "Surviving The Stone Age" done by Channel 4 (BBC) 8 experts living as they did in the stone age for one month. Matt Graham, Nicole Apelian, Lynx and others.. I can't find anything but trailers on YT but DailyMotion has the full program: www.dailymotion.com/video/x7xhz6q

Prepsteading! Homesteading and Prepping for life's mishaps and inconvenient events, like going without power for weeks/months or losing a job.
I'm about living a life of self sufficiency without interference. On my channel you won't see a bunch of talk, you'll see action and active learning: How to make things from scratch, garden/small scale farming, food preservation (canning/drying/salting/freezing/smoking/dry storing), seed saving, growing chickens/pigs, food security and the like.
Prepping for life events/grid down: learn to cook without electricity or natural gas, grow food, find/forage food, water resources (locating/purifying/storage), tool/gadget reviews (the good and bad).
I have particular interest in teaching, my strongest areas are large scale gardening and food preservation. I live in Oregon grow Zone 8B.
Welcome and please let me know how I can help you become more self reliant.
